Colours of 2022 in interior design

Colours of 2022. See new trends in interiors.

So 2022 brings us very nature-inspired colours across the board. Many shades of greens, blues, beige with a hint of yellow here and there.

But the true star of the colour palette 2022 is pale green. Pale green represents everything interior trends 2022 are about – back to nature, revitalizing and relaxing at home.

But the true star of the colour palette 2022 is pale green

Pale green represents everything all interior trends 2022 are about – back to nature, revitalizing and relaxing at home.

Four major paint brands have chosen pale green shade to be their colour of the year. As you can see below not only pale green but also blue looks like a real trend.

2022 colour palette is for: relaxing, reinvigorating, restoration and healing.

Blue shades however don’t go beyond the wall paint. Pale green however is more and more popular since last year in kitchen cabinets.

Mint tones, olive tones and sage tones, these shades of green are a real hit for interiors 2022.

Pale Green shades

Shervin Williams – Evergreen Fog

Last year’s forest deep tones of green are now replaced by this super hot pale (sage) green. Blends perfect with natural materials.

Behr – Breezaway

This green is inspired by the seagrass. Very pale, silver-toned is so subtle. Again the makers of this colour defined it as healing and restoring.

Benjamin Moore – October Mist

Again, ‘back to nature’ trend in 2022 is everywhere. House plants, natural look and soothing paint colours. Just like this Benjamin Moore October Mist pale shade.

Farrow and Ball – Breakfast Room

Blue Shades

Blue in the psychology of colours represents stability, calmness and intellect. Shades of pale blue in our interiors are meant to be lifting our spirit and introduce sky tones in our inner space.

Dulux – Bright Skyes

Versatile and optimistic. Adaptable for most spaces, blends well with earthy tones.

Tikkurilla – Cumulus

The makers of this colour describe it as representing the brighter future. I can’t disagree. Uplifting blue sky is the quintessential ‘outside in the inside

Graham & Brown – Breathe

Exactly, breathe. It is exactly what is said on the tin.

Farrow and Ball – Stone Blue

Earthy tones

Natural tones elevate the natural look and simple life manifesto in 2022. Shades of warm beige and greys represent the hygge, minimalist trend of previous years and still popular in 2022 along with the Japandi trend.

Crown Paints – Greige

2021 started the earthy tones and it continues in ’22. It gels with nature-inspired trends promoting natural materials like pottery, wicker, reclaimed wood.

Earthy tones of paints come along with nature-inspired trends promoting natural materials like pottery, wicker, reclaimed wood and glass. Nature, sustainability and comfort.

Farrow & Ball – School House White

Another colour from Farrow & Ball.

Basic and natural colour palette. For simple and natural life.
