The story behind The Cats

designed and told by Gosia

From One Little Cat to a Whole Cat Family

The Cats Collection didn’t start as a product line. It started with a simple request. Once upon a time, a little girl called Margot loved cats. Her cousins loved cats, too. So Gosia drew them a small cat, just a head, exactly the way the girls imagined it.

That very first drawing became Baby Cat.

The girls loved it so much that soon more cats appeared. If there was a baby, there had to be a whole family — Mum Cat, Dad Cat, Sister Cat and Brother Cats. The cats quickly began travelling as little gifts to different homes. Each child wanted their own version, their own colours. So the cats appeared in five vibrant colour palettes — blue, mint, pink, magenta and yellow.

And just like that, a colourful cat family was born — growing over time into playful Supercats and the special Irish Cats edition created as Gaeilge.

Because sometimes a simple drawing for a few children can become something much bigger — a whole world of characters that bring colour, stories and imagination into kids’ rooms.

And you won’t find this family anywhere else.
